Family Favourites: What to Order at Tayybeh When Dining with Kids

Taking the kids out to eat doesn’t have to feel like a gamble. At Tayybeh, we see families walk in happy, nervous, curious and they all leave with finished plates and big smiles. 

Here's what parents have been ordering over and over for their little ones with each visit. 

Starting with What Kids Know (But Better)

Cheese Sambousak is our secret weapon. Golden, crispy pastries filled with melty cheese and a bit of parsley. They look like little half-moons, they're easy to pick up, and honestly, we've never seen a kid turn them down.

If your child likes falafel, ours are crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and the Falafel Appetizer is a great starter that doubles as finger food.

For absolute chicken lovers, the Chicken Fatteh is layered comfort. It's chicken over rice with crispy pita chips and creamy tahini. Families tell us it feels like a hug in a bowl.

Wraps Work Wonders

When kids want something handheld and familiar, wraps are often the move. The Chicken Shawarma Wrap is our most popular choice for families. It's grilled chicken with garlic sauce, pickles, and a little bit of cabbage tucked into soft pita. Not too spicy, not too adventurous, just good.

The Labneh Wrap is another winner, especially for younger kids. It's smooth strained yogurt with za'atar and tomato. Think of it like a creamier, tangier cream cheese sandwich.

Platters for Sharing (and Trying New Things)

If you've got a mix of picky eaters and curious ones, the Vegetarian Mezzeh Platter gives you a little bit of everything. Crispy cauliflower, cheese sambousak, falafel, chickpea salad, beet tabbouleh, and yalanji (stuffed grape leaves).

Bakery Treats They'll Remember

Our Manakeesh are Syrian flatbreads, and kids treat them like personal pizzas. Available with roasted red pepper spread or our beloved za’atar blend, these are freshly baked, warm, and perfect for little hands.

Be sure they save room for Knafeh. It's sweet cheese topped with crispy shredded pastry, orange blossom syrup and pistachio. If your kid likes dessert, this will be the highlight of their night.
