Mujaddara Monday
A comforting way to start your week, as well as a Syrian cuisine staple, Mujaddara is comprised of rice, lentils and topped with caramelized onions. The lentils provide a source of protein while the rice softens the dish with its fluffy texture.
Elevating the dish, the caramelized onions provide a sweet yet somewhat smokey flavour. We then serve the Mujaddara with cabbage salad and hummus, balancing out the meal while offering satisfying tastes with every fork bite.
Mujaddara is a popular dish for dine-in and at home enjoyment not only for its flavour but also how easy of a nutritious dish it is to make with just a few simple ingredients. Plus, at Tayybeh, it’s vegan, gluten-free and nut-free.
Tabbouleh Tuesday
Our Tabbouleh is a vibrant mix of bulgar wheat, chopped parsley, lemon, olive oil, onion and tomatoes, making it both a healthy and refreshing choice. Tantalizing for taste buds, our guests enjoy the combination of parsley's herbaceousness, tomatoes’ sweetness, bulgur wheat’s chewiness and the tanginess of the lemon.
Enjoyable as a side or as a meal on its own, this simple yet versatile dish is vegan and nut-free.
Wrap Wednesday
When we think “Syrian street food,” our team almost instantly thinks of our favourite wraps!
Each providing a unique flavour profile, our wraps are filled with a variety of ingredients. Current selections include:
- Beef Shawarma: Tender sliced beef, parsley, tomato, onion, pickles, tahini sauce.
- Chicken Shawarma: Grilled chicken strips, tomato, cabbage, pickles, garlic sauce.
- Crispy Cauliflower: Cauliflower, cabbage, tomato, pickles, pomegranate molasses.
- Falafel: Falafel, parsley, cabbage, tomato, pickles, tahini sauce.
- Kafta: Grilled beef, salad, tomato, pickles, tahini sauce.
- Labneh: Creamy strained yogurt, zaatar, cucumber, tomato.
- Sujuk: Spiced ground beef, tomato, pickles, garlic sauce.
- Vegan Sujuk: Spiced vegan sujuk, pomegranate molasses.
Trio Thursday
Three times the flavours, three times the treat. On Thursdays, we love to serve our pita bread and Homestyle Pita Chips with a medley of our classic dips; Hummus, Mutabbal and Muhammara.
Our traditional Hummus is made with fresh chickpeas and Tahini sauce for that authentic Syrian taste. Then, our versatile Mutabbal Dip is comprised of smoked eggplant, tahini and olive oil. Not only does it taste great with pita chips, or pita bread, but it also makes a great sandwich spread or complement for your Kibbeh!
Our most popular dip, Mhammara, is made from sweet red peppers, walnuts, onion, olive oil and gluten-free breadcrumbs.
Fatayer Friday
For when you’ve had a long week, treat yourself to a delicious baked pie on the always savory Fatayer Friday! Current hearty selections include:
- Beef Fatayer: Filled with lean ground beef and herbs.
- Cheese Fatayer: Filled with our homestyle cheese.
- Olive Fatayer: Filled with sliced olives and sweet red pepper spread.
- Spinach Fatayer: Filled with spinach and pomegranate molasses.
